Privacy Policy
This policy covers Kudos AI, the Chrome extension and the accompanying service at kudoshelper.com. It describes exactly what data leaves your browser, where it goes, how long it is kept, and who can access it.
What data Kudos handles
Page content from the tab you attach
When you click Send in Kudos, the extension reads the DOM of the tab you attached and sends the visible text and interactive-element structure of that page to Kudos's API endpoint at hermes-homework-platform.vercel.app, which forwards it to Kudos's language-model provider so the model can decide the next action.
Screenshots (only when the model requests one)
If Kudos determines it needs to see an image, chart, or diagram on the page, it captures a JPEG screenshot (quality 70, capped at 2 MB) of the currently visible tab area and includes it in that single request. Screenshots are never captured preemptively or in the background.
Your task prompt
The text you type into the Kudos composer is sent along with page context so the model knows what you want done.
Local browser data
Kudos stores your conversation history and session token in chrome.storage.local
on your device. This never leaves your browser.
What Kudos does not collect
- Kudos does not read tabs you have not explicitly attached.
- Kudos does not read pages whose URL matches banking, financial, healthcare, or authentication patterns — the content script hard-blocks them at the browser layer.
- Kudos does not read from password fields or any input flagged sensitive.
- Kudos does not track your browsing outside the attached tab.
- Kudos does not use analytics, cookies, pixels, or fingerprinting.
Retention
Request-scoped only. Page text, screenshots, and prompts are used to compute a single API response and are not written to any persistent database or log by Kudos. Kudos's LLM provider may retain requests briefly for abuse-prevention per their own retention policy; consult their published policies for specifics.
Third-party sharing
Kudos does not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party other than the LLM provider that generates the responses. The provider is contractually bound not to use your data to train their models.
Children
Kudos is intended for users 13 years of age and older. If you are under 13, please do not use Kudos.
Your rights
Because Kudos does not retain your data beyond the individual request that produced it, there is nothing on Kudos's servers to export or delete. Local browser data (conversation history, session token) can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.
